Improve your neighbourhood

Cabe encourages better standard and urges the public to demand more from their buildings and spaces.

The Building for Life Standard champions high-quality homes and neighbourhoods and is awarded to developments that demonstrate good quality and sustainable development.

Cabe also wants to hear about substandard new developments. Places that fail to make the Building for Life standard may, for example, have no play space, windows overlooking a blank wall, or feel like a place “built for nowhere but found everywhere”.

The closing date for entries is 31 March and the winners will be announced in September.
